Alexander Seropian (born October 21, 1969 in New York City ) is an American developer of computer games and co-founder of the Bungie company . The company is known for developing one of the most popular video game franchises, Halo for the PC and Microsoft's Xbox , as well as the Marathon and Myth video game franchises .

Life

Seropian was born in New York to Richard and Susan Herach, but temporarily lived with his grandfather Yervant, an entrepreneur who worked in photography and engraving. The former University of Chicago student founded Bungie Software Products Corporation (Bungie Software for short) with his then-boyfriend Jason Jones . In 2004 Seropian left Bungie and founded Wideload Games . In September 2009 he was hired by the Walt Disney Company as Vice President and General Manager of Core Games for Disney Interactive Studios . In 2012 Seropian left Disney and founded a company that focuses on video games for mobile devices.
