Alexandar Bontschew ( Bulgarian Александър Бончев ; born November 30, 1965 ) is a former Bulgarian football player .

Career

Alexandar Bontschew played in his home country until 1984 for Levski-Spartak Sofia. From 1985 to 1990 he played for Lokomotive Plovdiv . In 1990 Bonchev moved to Slavia Sofia , where he scored five goals in 29 games in two seasons. During the 1991/92 season he moved to Germany at the beginning of 1992 for Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg , for which he only played two games. He made his debut on the 25th matchday when he was substituted in in the 8th minute of the away game against Karlsruher SC by coach Willibert Kremer and already substituted in the 62nd minute. After the season that the MSV ended as relegated, Bonchev moved to SV Darmstadt 98 in early January 1993 . He played with the lilies in the 2nd Bundesliga and played 17 league games in his first season. Darmstadt came last and was relegated. Bonchev then went back to Bulgaria, where he played with Levski Sofia until 1995 . There he was Bulgarian champion and cup winner in 1994. In September 1994 he moved to FC Carl Zeiss Jena for the remainder of the 1994/95 season before returning to his homeland to Slavia Sofia .
