Career

Alexander Östlund is a left full-back and especially dangerous as an offensive character if he quickly pushes over his side into the opposing half. Since he was a trained striker, his final strength and speed benefit him. He began his career at AIK Solna, where he was never able to assert himself. After a loan to IF Brommapojkarna , which played in the 2nd Swedish League , he came back and moved to Portugal where he did not play a single game. Then he returned home to IFK Norrköping . His other moves abroad, especially to Feyenoord Rotterdam , were successful. In 2006 he moved to FC Southampton and in 2008 to Esbjerg fB. At the end of 2009 he ended his career.

He played 22 times for the Swedish national team.
