Nikolai Yegorovich Zhukovsky became aware of the model and the builder after the model had successfully carried out a few test flights. July Alexandrowitsch Meller , the owner of the Dux-Werke , agreed to manufacture a prototype of an aircraft based on the model. Ultimately, the project failed because there was no suitable engine.

Porokhovshchikov then built his first aircraft under his own direction in 1911. During the First World War he worked with his small workshop for the military. After the war and the October Revolution , he developed five more models between 1917 and 1923, some of which were built in series.

Porokhovshchikov also designed the first armored vehicle in Russia . However, this single-seat armed vehicle had only one chain. The army showed no interest in it.

In 1941 Porokhovshchikov was arrested, tried for alleged espionage and executed in the same year.
