Alexander Baltazzi (* 1850 in Vienna ; † November 24, 1914 ) was an Austro-Greek equestrian.

Baltazzi came from a Greek banking family from Smyrna and was the brother of Helene Vetsera . The Baltazzi family had found acceptance into the highest social circles due to the extraordinary riding talent of their four sons Aristide, Alexander, Hector and Henri (Heinrich) . They were welcome guests and participants on Europe's turf fields. Alexander and Aristides jointly owned the famous racing horse »Kisber«. They won the English Epsom Derby in 1876 and became known as the Baltazzi brothers . In 100 years only four horses have managed to win the Epsom Derby and the Grand Prix de Paris , Kisbér is one of them.

Her brother Hector lived in Paris and died during a visit to the Vienna Jockey Club.

Alexander was at Mayerling Castle when the Austrian Crown Prince Rudolf and his lover Baroness Mary Vetsera committed suicide there on January 30, 1889 . He provided pastoral care and assistance to the bereaved immediately after the incident.
