Alexander Charlow
Alexander Charlow ( Russian Александр Харлов , English transcription Aleksandr Kharlov ; born March 18, 1958 in Tashkent ) is a former Soviet hurdler who specialized in the 400-meter distance .
At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow he reached the semifinals, and in 1982 he was sixth at the European Athletics Championships in Athens .
In 1983 he was Soviet champion with his personal best of 48.78 s, won the Universiade and won the bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki .
