Alexander Emil Deubl (born January 7, 1983 in Munich ) is a former German snowboard professional . After completing his professional winter sports career, he began studying sculpture.

Winter sports

Deubl grew up in Lenggries and started skiing at the age of six. He trained at the Lenggries ski club until he was twelve, where he received basic sports training and discovered his preference for slalom . At the age of 14 he switched sports and started snowboarding . From 1996 to 2002 he was one of the dominant youth riders in alpine snowboarding in Germany and internationally. He drove for two years in the ASA rookie team and for the T-mobile team before the ISF filed for bankruptcy.

From 2003 to 2007 Deubl competed in the FIS national snowboard team in the A team. He was the only German alpine rider to qualify for the Winter X Games in boardercross and participated in freeride events such as the Longboard Classics. Disagreements with the associations ultimately led to Deubl resigning from the national team. From 2007 to 2011 he took part in competitions on his own and achieved considerable success.
