Alexander Elgisarowitsch Budkin ( Russian Александр Эльгизарович Будкин ; born September 8, 1986 in Chelyabinsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with HK Sochi in the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Alexander Budkin began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of the HK Traktor Chelyabinsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, in the 2003/04 season . Then the defender played for five years for HK Dynamo Moscow in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the newly founded Continental Hockey League , where he was in the 2004/05 season in parallel for Dynamo's second team in the third-rate Pervaya League , as well as Kristall Saratov in the Vysschaja League was used. After he started the 2009/10 season at Dynamo Moscow, he returned to his home club HK Traktor Chelyabinsk.
In June 2010 Budkin signed a contract with OHK Dynamo , which resulted from the merger of his ex-club HK Dynamo Moscow and HK MWD Balaschicha , but left it again in September 2010 without playing a single KHL game for OHK Dynamo to have. For the 2010/11 season he was signed by Severstal Tscherepowez , but already moved to HK Spartak Moscow in November 2010 within the KHL . For Spartak, he then completed 87 KHL games before he was released from his contract shortly before the turn of the year 2012/13. He was then without a club before he was signed for two years by HK Dynamo Moscow in May 2013.
Between summer 2015 and November 2016 he played for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod before moving to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , where he had played 30 KHL games by the end of the season. In the 2017/18 season he received only a few appearances in the Metallurg squad and therefore left the club in May 2018 for HK Sochi .
