Alexander Göhring (born December 22, 1977 in Tiraspol , Moldavian SSR ) is a former German football player and current coach .

Career

In his youth, Alexander Göhring played for several football clubs in Karlsruhe. In 2000 he came to SV Waldhof Mannheim together with his brother Viktor Göhring . In the 2002/03 season, Goehring completed eight appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga . After the bankruptcy and the forced relegation to the league , he led the young team as captain on the pitch. After the just missed promotion, his contract was not extended. Alexander Göhring switched to the regional league team of 1. FSV Mainz 05 , which he left again a year later. In 2005 Göhring joined FC Nöttingen . Between 2006 and 2010 he was an amateur midfielder for FC Flehingen. From 2010 to 2016 he was a coach and player at SV Kickers Büchig in the Landesliga Mittelbaden . He then ended his playing career. He has been in charge of FC Östringen since 2018 .
