Alexander Gerasimov (football player)

Alexander "Sasha" Gerasimov (* 1983 / 1984 in St. Petersburg ) is a former German football player .

career

Gerasimov, who came  to Magdeburg from Russia at the age of six , began his American football career in 2001 in the junior division of the Magdeburg Virgin Guards , and in 2002 he switched to the youth of the Braunschweig Lions . In 2004 and 2005 he was a member of the Braunschweig men's team in the highest German football league , the GFL , and was German runner-up with the team in 2004 and German champions in 2005.

The 1.78 meter tall running back joined the Hamburg Blue Devils , for whom he played in the GFL in 2006 and 2007. In 2008 he went to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes . With Kiel he moved into the final of the German championship in September 2008, but lost to the Berlin Adlers there .

In 2009 he went back to the Magdeburg Virgin Guards in the regional league.

His brothers Anton and Andrej also played football in the GFL.
