Alexander Hilbck

Georg Friedrich Alexander Hilbck (born December 17, 1841 in Lippstadt , † September 15, 1908 in Dortmund ) was a mine director and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Hilbck attended the Realgymnasium in Lippstadt and then the University and Bergakademie Berlin. From 1866 he was mining director of the Borussia corporation and the Tremonia union , and from 1876 director of the Westfalia union . He was a member of the board of directors of the Berggewerkschaftskasse, the General Knappschaftsverein Bochum , the association for mining interests, the Knappschafts Berufsgenossenschaft, second chairman of Section II of the employers' liability insurance association, long-time city councilor of Dortmund and a member of the Dortmund Chamber of Commerce.

From 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Arnsberg 6 Dortmund , Hörde and the National Liberal Party . From 1903 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .

A street in Dortmund-Eving is named after him.
