Bärtle is best known for his equestrian figures and their abstract play of movement. His idol-like stone figures are reminiscent of mythology from ancient times in their clear body language.

Particularly impressive in his sculptural work is the monument to the concentration camp victims in the concentration camps Schomberg and honor and pleasure monuments in Wannweil (s u..) Ammerbuch - Entringen (1952), KZ Bisingen (Zollernalbkreis) Gräfenhausen (Calw), Mahlstetten (Kreis Tuttlingen), Talheim (Tuttlingen district) and those already mentioned in Tübingen-Hagelloch and -Lustnau.

In the Schönbuch nature park near Ammerbuch - Entringen there is a Hermann Löns fountain in Gewann Steingart , which was built by a group of friends around the artist Ugge Bärtle.

Bärtle was buried in the Tübingen mountain cemetery.
