Conrad Dieterici

Conrad Heinrich Dieterici (born November 26, 1858 in Berlin ; † November 14, 1929 in Gadderbaum - Bethel ) was a German physicist , professor and rector of the University of Kiel .

Conrad Dieterici was the son of the Berlin orientalist Friedrich Heinrich Dieterici .

He studied physics at the University of Berlin and received his doctorate there in 1882. From 1885 to 1890 he was an assistant at the Physics Institute at the University of Berlin. In 1887 he became a private lecturer there. In 1890 he received a chair at the University of Breslau . In 1894 he became a professor in physics at the Technical University in Hanover . In 1906 he taught at the University of Rostock and from 1907 at the University of Kiel , where he was rector of the university from 1915 to 1916.

In 1909 Dieterici was appointed a secret councilor. He developed the Dieterici equation named after him . With Arthur König he investigated color perception .
