Alexander Ivanovich Efimov

Alexander Ivanovich Efimov , Russian Александр Иванович Ефимов , English transcription Alexander Ivanovich Efimov, (born April 22, 1988 ) is a Russian mathematician.

Yefimov graduated from the Independent University of Moscow with a graduate degree in 2009, with the thesis being on the deformation of objects in derived categories and non-commutative Grassmann manifolds, and Lomonosov University . He did his doctorate in 2011 at the Steklow Institute in Moscow with Dmitri Olegowitsch Orlow . From 2010 to 2017 he conducted research at the Higher School for Economics (HSE) in Moscow at the Laboratory for Algebraic Geometry and its Applications and is at their Laboratory for Mirror Symmetry and Automorphic Shapes. He conducts research at the Steklow Institute in Moscow.

He deals with algebraic geometry , homological algebra , mirror symmetry , non-commutative geometry, and quantum algebra .

In 2013/14 he was a Newton Research Fellow at the University of Warwick .

In 2008 and 2010 he received first place in the Möbius competition. In 2016 he received the Moscow Mathematical Society Prize . For 2020/21 he received the EMS Prize .
