Alexander Ivanovich Lenew ( Russian Александр Иванович Ленёв ; born September 25, 1944 in Novomoskowsk ) is a former Russian football player who mainly played in midfield .
career
Lenew began his career as an adult footballer with Schinnik Yaroslavl and soon moved to Torpedo Moscow , with whom he became Soviet football champion in his first season in 1965 and won the Soviet football cup in 1968 .
During his time at Torpedo, Lenew also made the leap into the Soviet national team , for which he completed ten missions between 1966 and 1968; including the two matches of the European Championship finals in 1968 against Italy and England .
In the summer of 1971, Lenew moved to Volga Nizhny Novgorod and a few months later to Torpedo Kutaisi , before he ended his active career at Maschinostroitel Tula .
