Alexander Jomini

Alexander Jomini ( Russian Александр Генрихович Жомини ; * 1814 ; † 1888 ) was a tsarist Russian diplomat and politician.

Life

Alexander Jomini was the son of Antoine-Henri Jomini .

At the end of the Crimean War , Jomini went on a special mission to Berlin and in 1861 to Paris . From 1875 Alexander Jomini was Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Mikhailovich Gorchakov , who held office during the Russo-Ottoman War (1877–1878) .

On 12 July 1888 Jomini sought Friedrich Pourtalès , charge d'affaires of the German Empire in Saint Petersburg , and warned that if Austria's provocative policy in the Balkans would not change, this would have fatal consequences.

The diplomat Michael Konstantin Onu (Михаил Константинович Ону, 1835-1901) married Jomini's stepdaughter and lived in the household. The sons from this marriage were:
