Alexander Köckert , also Alexander Kökert (born January 28, 1889 , † August 30, 1950 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Little is known about Kö (c) kert's life, even his grandfather (1821–1869) and father (1859–1926) - both of the same name - were actors. For about a quarter of a century, almost his entire career, Kökert worked artistically at the Prussian State Theater in Berlin , initially (in the Weimar Republic ) under the artistic direction of Leopold Jessner , in the Third Reich under that of Gustaf Gründgens . Only with the closure of all German theaters in late summer 1944 did Kökert end his acting career.

Occasionally Alexander Kökert also appeared in front of the camera in small roles; For example, in 1938, under the direction of his boss Gründgens, in his ambitious Effi Briest film, The Step on the Path, he played the visitor to the district administrator, Gertinger.
