Alexander Knörr

Alexander Knörr (born May 26, 1947 in Rohr ) is a German lawyer.

Career

Knörr, who initially completed a bank apprenticeship after graduating from high school, successfully completed his law studies, which he began in 1968. His study locations were Munich and Lausanne. In 1975 he passed the second state examination in law. In the same year he received his doctorate. His dissertation dealt with the constitutional and international legal status of Berlin. This was followed by activities in the Bavarian State Ministry for Labor and Social Affairs and in the Bavarian State Chancellery. In 1985 he took up a position as a judge at the Social Court in Munich . In this position he worked until 1989. In 1990 he was appointed judge at the Munich Regional Social Court . From 1991 to 1993 he was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant . From December 1999 to October 2002 he was a professional judge at the Bavarian Constitutional Court . In October 2001 he was appointed presiding judge of the LSG Munich in the Schweinfurt branch. After being appointed judge at the Federal Social Court on August 27, 2002, with effect from November 1, 2002, he initially worked in the Fourth Senate, whose area of ​​responsibility at the time extended to the pension insurance for employees and disputes according to the law on entitlement and expectancy transfer . From July 2007 until his retirement on June 30, 2012, he was then appointed to the Ninth / Tenth Senate. There he dealt with social compensation law , the law for severely disabled people , old-age insurance for farmers , federal childcare allowance and parental allowance .
