Alexander Nikolajewitsch Fedotenkow ( Russian Александр Николаевич Федотенков ; born January 7, 1959 in Selzo , Bryansk Oblast ) is a Russian Vice Admiral . He has been Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Naval Fleet since April 2013 .

Life

Fedotenkow graduated from the Black Sea Officers' College PS Nakhimov in 1981 and then went through various positions in the Northern Fleet , from laboratory engineer to first officer of a submarine . In 1992 he completed higher special courses for officers and in 1993 became the commander of a submarine. After working as deputy commander of a submarine division, he graduated from the NG Kuznetsov Naval War Academy in 2000 . From 2000 to 2002 he was chief of staff of a submarine division and then its commander until 2005. From 2005 to 2007 Fedotenkow studied at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces . From 2007 to 2009 he served as Deputy Kola Flotilla Commander of the Northern Fleet. From September 8, 2009 he was used as commander of the Leningrad naval base. By order of the President of the Russian Federation on June 24, 2011, he was appointed commander of the Black Sea Fleet . On December 13, 2012, Fedotenkow was promoted to Vice Admiral. With effect from April 17, 2013 he became Deputy Commander in Chief of the Russian Naval Fleet. In 2018 he was released into retirement and Fedotenkow then worked as a consultant to the general director of the St. Petersburg maritime engineering office "Malachit".

Fedotenkow is married and has one son.
