Alexander ("Sascha") Nikolajewitsch Rytschkow ( Russian Александр Николаевич Рычков , scientific transliteration Aleksandr Nikolaevič Ryčkov ; born September 29, 1974 in Usolje-Sibirskoje near Irkutsk , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian footballer .

Rytschkow was considered one of the greatest talents of his time, but usually stood in the way of a bigger career himself. He was noticed again and again through various violent and alcohol escapades, which usually led his clubs to terminate his respective contract prematurely. He came to 1. FC Köln in 1997 via Standard Liège and RC Lens . In 1998 he was sentenced by a criminal court to a two-year suspended sentence for attempted rape of a 17-year-old girl.

In the same year he left Cologne and went to Switzerland for FC Basel , where he reached his footballing climax and played a key role in the club's first small successes after maintaining the league. As a result, Rytschkow received bids for the Russian national football team . Due to further escapades, his contract was not renewed, whereupon he moved to the Swiss second division club SR Delémont and then back to Standard Liège in Belgium, where he again attracted attention through his escapades instead of good performances.

In 2001, SC Paderborn 07 signed him . In his first game for Paderborn in the Regionalliga Nord , he was sent off and the club then immediately dissolved his contract.

In 2002 he was under contract with the Swiss club AC Bellinzona .
