Alexander sentence
Alexander Igorewitsch Satz ( Russian Алекса́ндр И́горевич Сац / Alexander Igorewitsch Saz; born January 31, 1941 in Moscow , Soviet Union ; † January 18, 2007 in Graz ) was a Russian pianist and piano teacher.
Life
The movement began at the age of 14 with piano lessons from Leonid Bromberg, a student and assistant to Heinrich Neuhaus . From 1956 he studied at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow and received a professorship there in 1963.
In 1989 he emigrated to the USA , from 1991 he lived in Austria , where he took over a professorship at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. From 1999 he also taught at the Royal Academy of Music in London .
Lilya Zilberstein , Evgeni Sudbin , Boris Berezovsky and Sanja Bizjak are among his most important students .
