Sanja Bizjak ( Serbian - Cyrillic Сања Бизјак ; born September 8, 1988 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian pianist .

Life

From the age of six, Bizjak took piano lessons from Zlata Males . At the age of seven, she made her debut with Joseph Haydn's D major piano concerto Hob.XVIII: 11, accompanied by the Belgrade Philharmonic. In February 2001 she began studying piano with Jacques Rouvier at the Paris Conservatory .

In the following years she also completed courses with Alexander Satz at the Graz Conservatory and with Elisso Wirsaladse at the University of Music and Theater in Munich . She has performed in all major music cities, often in a duo with her sister Lidija Bizjak .

Bizjak has received several international prizes and awards. She lives in France .

Awards

  • 2003: First prize in the competition in memory of Vladimir Horowitz in Kiev .
  • 2004: Awards for piano and chamber music from the Paris Conservatory.
  • 2005: Together with her sister, prize for the best piano duo at the ARD music competition in Munich.
