Alexander Schmidt (politician)

Alexander Schmidt (born February 17, 1827 in Koenigsberg in the Neumark ; † November 26, 1899 in Berlin ) was a German judge and parliamentarian.

Life

Alexander Schmidt studied law and political science at the Silesian Friedrich Wilhelms University . In 1848 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Breslau . He was inactivated as an honorary corps boy . After completing his studies, he pursued a career as a judge. He became a district judge in Reetz . Later he was a member of the chamber judge and most recently a regional court director in Berlin. In 1894 he retired.

From 1873 to 1876 Schmidt sat as a member of the constituency Frankfurt 1 (Arnswalde, Friedeberg) in the Prussian House of Representatives . He belonged to the faction of the National Liberal Party .
