Alexander Sergejewitsch Aksjonenko ( Russian Александр Сергеевич Аксёненко ; born March 8, 1986 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Continental Hockey League .

Career

Alexander Aksjonenko began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the HK Sibir Novosibirsk , for whose professional team he was active in the Russian Super League from 2003 to 2006 . However, he ended the 2005/06 season at its league rivals SKA Saint Petersburg . In the 2006/07 season, the defender was in parallel for Metallurg Novokuznetsk in the Super League, as well as for their second team in the third-rate Pervaya League on the ice.

In the summer of 2007, the former youth international signed a contract with Amur Khabarovsk . For Amur he first ran in the Super League and from the 2008/09 season in the newly founded Continental Hockey League . In July 2011, after four years in Khabarovsk, he moved to Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg within the KHL . For Awtomobilist, however, he only played six games during the following season before returning to his home club, HK Sibir, in September 2012.

In July 2013 he was signed again by Metallurg Novokuznetsk. He has been without a club since the end of the 2013/14 season.

International

For Russia , Aksenenko took part in the 2004 U18 World Junior Championship and the 2006 U20 World Junior Championship .
