Alexander Sergeevich Serebrovsky

Alexander Sergeyevich Serebrovsky ( Russian Александр Сергеевич Серебровский ; born February 6 . Jul / 18th February  1892 greg. In Kursk ; † 26. June 1948 in Bolshevo , Moscow Oblast ) was a Soviet geneticist and founder of the Institute for Hygiene at the MGU . He researched the processes of step allelomorphism , anthropogenetics , genetics and the selection of animals.

In 1929, in an article entitled “Anthropogenetics and Eugenics in Socialist Society”, he advocated the use of the latest techniques of artificial fertilization to create the new human being.

During the Stalin Purges he was exposed to state repression as a supporter of the biologist Nikolai Wawilow .
