Alexander Studzinski

Alexander Studzinski (born January 19, 1983 in Magdeburg ) is a German long-distance swimmer .

At the European Championships in Berlin in 2002 , Alexander Studzinski took 15th place over the 5 km distance. In 2004 he became German champion over 10 km and 25 km. Seventh place over 5 km was his best result at the 2004 European Championships in Madrid . At the world championship that took place the following year , he was fourth over 25 km and narrowly missed a medal. In 2006 he defended his German championship title over 25 km. Over 10 km at the European Championship 2006 , which was held in Lake Balaton , he only achieved 21st place. He was twelfth over 25 km.

At the German Open Water Swimming Championships 2012 in Großkrotzenburg , the last German championship title for the time being jumped out over the 25 km in 5: 15: 55.54 hours. Two years later at the 2014 championships there was fifth place on the regatta course in Hamburg-Allermöhe over 10 km. In 2015 , in Lindau (Lake Constance), he was third on the podium over the 10 km.

Studzinski started for the SC Wiesbaden club in 1911 and was trained by Oliver Großmann. He works in the sports promotion group of the Hessen Police . Before that, he studied chemistry at the University of Würzburg up to an intermediate diploma . Today Studzinski lives in Wiesbaden .
