Alexandra Amaro

Alexandra Amaro ( Alexandra Borges Amaro; born September 20, 1972 ) is a former Brazilian shot putter and discus thrower .

At the Athletics South American Championships she won silver in Medellín in 1989 and bronze in Manaus in the shot put in 1991 .

In 1995 she was seventh in the shot put and eighth in the discus throw at the Pan American Games in Mar del Plata and took bronze in the shot put at the South American Championships in Manaus .

In 1996 she won bronze at the Ibero-American Championships in the shot put. In 1997 in Mar del Plata and 1999 in Bogotá , silver followed in the same discipline.
