Alexandra Kleeman

Alexandra Kleeman (born February 26, 1986 in Boulder, Colorado ) is an American writer .

Life

Alexandra Kleeman is the daughter of an American and a Taiwanese . She studied creative writing at Brown University in Providence . In 2010 she went to Columbia University in New York City for a Masters degree . There she lives with her husband, the writer Alex Gilvarry .

Kleeman published a volume of short stories and the novel You Too Can Have a Body Like Mine , for which she received the 2016 Bard Fiction Prize for Young Authors from Bard College . Her essays and short stories have appeared in magazines such as Tin House and The Paris Review .
