Alexandre Egorov ( Russian Александр Николаевич Егоров / Alexander Nikolajewitsch Jegorow; born December 31, 1954 in Leningrad ) is a Russian-Swiss painter, graphic artist and haiku poet.

Life

He trained as a painter in the art studio of Lev Ovchinnikow and as a graphic artist at the Leningrad Art Academy . He worked as an animator in the studio for popular science films "Lennautschfilm" in Leningrad and helped Valentina Bilitschenko to found "Anna Akhmatova. Silver Age ”museum.

Egorov was the first to design Russian tarot cards - "Egorov Tarot" or "Egorov Golden Russian Tarot Deck" - which were published in 1992 by Piatnik in Vienna.

The origin of his artistic activity lies in the Silver Age ( Kandinsky , Malewitsch , Roerich etc.) with the Russian cosmists of the 19th and 20th centuries. The meaning of her art was to understand that the inner world of a person is of a cosmic nature, has a cosmic effect and also bears cosmic responsibility. The experience that we are all one gives the artist the task of witnessing this state of affairs and creating something that unites contradictions and reflects the harmony of the world. In order to deepen this topic, he became a dzogchen practitioner in 1998 . He has lived in Switzerland since 2001, where he also works and practices.
