Alexandre Quennoz (born September 21, 1978 in the canton of Valais ) is a former Swiss football player and plays in the position of central defender .

Alexandre Quennoz started his career in the U21 team of FC Sion . In July 1996 he was promoted to the 1st team of Sion. In 1999 he moved to FC Basel . First a regular player, in recent years he has increasingly sat on the bench. Despite being a reservist, the club refused to release him to FC Lausanne-Sport in the summer of 2005 , to which Quennoz had made an offer. This angered Quennoz. As a result, after seven years when his contract expired, he turned down an extension offer from FC Basel and moved to Neuchâtel Xamax , which was still playing in the Challenge League at the time. Xamax rose with him, who has a regular place, back in the Super League in the summer of 2007 . In May 2009 he played his last game as a professional for Xamax and then retired from his career.
