Swiss Football Championship 2003/04
The Axpo Super League 2003/04 was the 107th season of the top Swiss division in men's football. Ten teams took part. The Swiss champions were FC Basel .
The 2003/04 Challenge League was the 106th season of the second highest Swiss division in men's football. Eighteen teams took part in the Challenge League. FC Schaffhausen became champions in the Challenge League .

Season overview
The FC Schaffhausen got a master of Challenge League directly into the Super League on. The FC Vaduz , the table Second, denied the Barrage against Neuchatel Xamax . The Liechtensteiners lost in the duels with the Neuchâtel Xamax and remained in the Challenge League.
The SR Delémont rose from bottom of the table in the first division . The league played from the 2004/05 season with 18 teams.
The league starts with 16 teams in the championship. FC Sion was forcibly relegated to the first division before the season, but FC Sion President Christian Constantin forced participation in court. He won the process against the Swiss Football League, and the second highest Swiss league had to be increased by one club to 17. FC Sion started the 2003/04 championship around three months late.
A special mode was tested, the teams played back and forth against the same opponent one after the other in the European Cup format and the overall winner of these individual duels received an additional 2 bonus points per duel.
