Francisco Valmerino Neri (born February 15, 1976 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian soccer player .

Career

Neri didn't start playing soccer until he was 15. At the age of 20 he made his debut in the Brazilian first division. He came to FC Köniz in Switzerland through an agent in the late 1990s .

In the following years Neri played at FC St. Gallen , FC Wil 1900 , SC Kriens , FC Schaffhausen and the BSC Young Boys . During the winter break of the 2005/06 season he switched to FC Aarau on loan . There he was only used sporadically, because he was hit by many injuries. In the 2006/07 season he returned to FC Schaffhausen.

At the end of the season there were differences between Jürgen Seeberger and Neri. So he had to watch the game at FC Basel from the stands. In the end he was relegated to the Challenge League with FC Schaffhausen . Neri then played for AC Bellinzona , with whose team he was promoted to the Super League and reached the final of the 2007/08 Swiss Cup . His contract was terminated prematurely in January 2009 by mutual agreement.
