Jürgen Seeberger (born March 25, 1965 in Konstanz ) is a German football coach .

Life

Seeberger's coaching career began in Swiss amateur football when he took over FC Schwamendingen in the 2nd division (sixth highest division) in 1994 . In 1997 he moved to the amateur first division club FC Red Star Zurich . In July 1999 he started his first professional football coaching position at SC Kriens in the National League B. From July 2000 to March 21, 2007 Seeberger was in charge of FC Schaffhausen , which he led from the first division to the top football league . With Schaffhausen he finished the 2004/05 season in ninth place, the following season in eighth place in the Super League. When the club was relegated in the 2007/08 season , Seeberger was released.

On January 2, 2008, Seeberger became head coach of the German second division club Alemannia Aachen as successor to Guido Buchwald . After three relatively successful half-series, Seeberger last led the team to fourth place in the 2008/09 season and narrowly missed promotion. In the following season , however, the club separated from him after the fourth game of the season, which Seeberger's team had won 3-0.

On January 28, 2010 Seeberger was the new head coach of the second team of VfB Stuttgart in the 3rd soccer league . After he had finished the 2010/11 season with VfB II in 10th place and was the only coach of a second team in the 3rd division to be able to keep the class, Seeberger ended his activity at VfB Stuttgart.

On September 5, 2012 Seeberger was the new coach of the third division club SV Darmstadt 98 in the 3rd football league . There he followed Kosta Runjaic , who had switched to MSV Duisburg . On December 17, 2012, SV Darmstadt 98 parted ways with Seeberger. In 13 games under his leadership, the team had only won twice and finished last in the 3rd division.

From July 2014 to November 2015 he coached the Swiss second division club FC Winterthur . Then he was the coach of the Swiss amateur club FC Kosova Zurich . In April 2018 he took over the relegation-threatened Stuttgarter Kickers in the regional soccer league southwest . Seeberger received a contract with Stuttgart until the end of the 2017/18 season . After relegation from the regional league, Seeberger's involvement with the Kickers ended in May 2018.
