Mohamed Kader (born April 8, 1979 in Sokodé ; actually Mohamed Abdel Kader Coubadja Touré ) is a Togolese football player . He plays in the position of the striker .
After his debut at the Tunisian club CA Bizertin in 1997, he moved to AC Parma in the Italian Serie A in 1999/2000 , but where he could not prevail. AC Parma loaned Mohamed Kader to other clubs: 1999/2000 to FC Lugano in Switzerland, 2000/01 to al Ahly Cairo in Egypt. 2001/02 he played again with AC Parma, for a short time also with Vicenza Calcio .
In 2002 he was hired again by a Swiss club, this time by FC Servette . He stayed there for three years. In 2003/2004 he scored 19 goals, making him the second best goalscorer of the year (behind Stéphane Chapuisat ) and was voted the best Togolese player active abroad. In the 2005/06 season he was in France with FC Sochaux ; he currently plays for EA Guingamp .
Mohamed Kader played his first game for the Togolese national soccer team in July 1995. In total, he was used in 85 international matches and scored 54 goals. This makes him the record player and record scorer in Togo. He took part in the African Cup of Nations four times (1998, 2000, 2002 and 2006) and was a member of the 2006 World Cup .
On June 13, 2006 Mohamed Kader managed to score the first World Cup goal for Togo in the preliminary round match against South Korea at the 2006 World Cup . The game itself was won by South Korea 2-1 (0-1).
