Alexandre Roubtzoff (born January 24, 1884 in St. Petersburg , Russian Empire , † November 26, 1949 in Tunis ) was a Russian-French painter who was mainly active in Tunisia .

Life

Roubtzoff studied with Iwan Zionglinski and Dmitri Kardowski , graduated from the St. Petersburg Art Academy and mainly painted interiors until 1914.

After arriving in Tunis on April 1, 1914 , he became an orientalist painter , exhibiting in London and at the Paris Salon des indépendants in 1930 .
