Alexandria Mills (born October 8, 1992 in Louisville , Kentucky ) is an American beauty queen and a model .
Life
Mills was born in Kentucky and graduated from high school in 2010 . In the same year she was crowned Miss USA World by a modeling agency and in October 2010 took part in the Miss World election for the United States in Sanya , China . In the run-up to the beauty contest, Mills took second place behind Yara Lasanta from Puerto Rico in the beach beauty contest and 3rd place in the Miss World top model contest, behind Norwegian Mariann Birkedal and Russian Irina Sharipova. In the Miss World election on October 30, 2010, the 18-year-old prevailed against Emma Wareus from Botswana and Adriana Vasini from Venezuela. British bookmakers had traded the blonde Mills, along with Birkedal and Santiago, as the favorite to win. It was the third victory for an American after Marjorie Wallace (1973) and Gina Marie Tolleson (1990).
The 1.75 meter tall vegetarian is under contract with the elite model agency and promoted the fashion company Esprit . Prior to her victory in the Miss World pageant, Mills stated her career aspiration was a teacher and planned to go to college and earn a degree in photography .
