Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares (born July 26, 1989 in Guanare ) is a Venezuelan beauty queen . The diplomacy student, who grew up in a convent school and works for a radio station, was first elected Miss Amazonas and then Miss Venezuela in 2010 and on November 6, 2011 in London for Miss World . In the election in London she prevailed among 120 participants. Filipino Gwendoline Gaelle Sandrine Ruais came in second, ahead of Miss Puerto Rico, Amanda Victoria Vilanova Perez , in third.

After losing her parents at the age of eight, Ivian grew up with a total of 12 siblings as an orphan in a monastery in Cojedes state . Her mother was from Spain and was called María Brígida Colmenares , her father Juan María Sarcos was a merchant and came from the Venezuelan state of Yaracuy . Originally she wanted to become a nun through an apprenticeship at the “Santa María Micaela” monastery in the city of San Carlos , until she finally realized that she could be successful as a model .
