Alexandru Cizek
Alexandru Nicolae Cizek (born May 10, 1942 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian Middle Latin philologist .
Life
He completed his studies (1960-1965) of classical philology at the University of Bucharest in June 1965 with the state examination. After receiving his doctorate in 1973 in Classical Philology at the Philological Faculty of Bucharest under Nicolae I. Barbu , he was lecturer for Romanian language and literature at the Institute for Romance Languages and Literatures at the University of Groningen from 1975 to 1978 . From 1978 to 1987 he was a research assistant at the Department of Middle Latin Philology at the University of Münster . After the habilitation examination in 1987 at the Philosophical Faculty of the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster, Department of History. Acquiring the venia legendi in the field of Latin philology of the Middle Ages, he taught from August 2001 as a jobless private lecturer in Münster .
