Alexandru Constantinescu

Alexandru Constantinescu (born 1981 in Craiova ) is a Romanian opera singer ( bass baritone ).

education

At the age of six he received his first piano and violin lessons . At the age of 18 he graduated from the Sigismund Toduta Music School in Cluj-Napoca with a major in piano. This was followed by piano studies in Paris , which he graduated with honors in June 2004. From 2004 to 2006 he studied at the Robert Schumann University in Düsseldorf . Since 2003, he received singing lessons , first at the "Conservatoire International de Paris" from 2004 until 2006 in Hanover at Elena Dumitrescu-Nentwig to then studied voice at Peter Anton Ling at the Hochschule für Musik take that he graduated in 2012 with top marks.

Engagements

During his studies he sang the role of Figaro in Figaro's wedding and that of Guglielmo in Così fan tutte . Alexandru Constantinescu has been a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater Vorpommern since the 2012/2013 season . Here he made his debut in the title role of Mozart's Don Giovanni . His productions also include Escamillo in Carmen , Dr. Malatesta in Don Pasquale , Roderich de Weert in Der Vetter from Dingsda , Valentin in Faust / Margarethe , Wolfram von Eschenbach in Tannhäuser and Sir Danvers Carew in Jekyll & Hyde .
