Alexei Gennadjewitsch Murygin ( Russian Алексей Геннадьевич Мурыгин ; born November 16, 1986 in Khabarovsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey goalkeeper who was most recently under contract with Amur Khabarovsk in the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Alexei Murygin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of Amur Khabarovsk , for whose second team he was active in the third-rate Pervaya League from 2002 to 2008 . In the 2006/07 season, the goalkeeper also made his professional ice hockey debut when he stood between the posts in two Amur Super League games . For the 2008/09 season he was given to Amur's farm team Yermak Angarsk , where he was able to collect game practice in the Wysschaja Liga , the second Russian division. In total, the Russian played 39 times for Angarsk. He then returned to Khabarovsk, for which he was on the ice in 14 games in the Continental Hockey League in the 2009/10 season . He had a goalscoring average of 3.24 and achieved a catch rate of 90.3%. He also succeeded in his first KHL shutout .
In the following four game years he established himself at Amur as goalkeeper around came to about 30 KHL missions each season, with he showed his best performances in the 2011/12 season. In December 2014 it was given to HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in exchange for Alexander Pechursky . For Magnitogorsk he played 7 KHL games by the end of the season before he was signed by Lokomotive Yaroslavl for three years in May 2015 . In the summer of 2017, he received another contract extension until 2019, before the management of Yaroslavl decided in July 2018 to terminate his contract early. Murygin received compensation of 17 million rubles. A few weeks later he received a one-year contract with HK Awangard Omsk . In November 2018 he was handed over from Avangard Omsk to Amur Khabarovsk, where he was under contract until the end of the 2018/19 season.
