Alexei Vladimirovich Petrov ( Russian Алексей Владимирович Петров * 1. February 1983 in Ukhta , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who last until June 2020 when HC Sochi from the Continental Hockey League was under contract and there on the position of the defender played Has.
Career
Alexei Petrow began his career as a hockey player at HK Lipetsk , for which he made his debut in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, in the 2001/02 season . The defender then played for Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk in the super league for a year . From 2003 to 2006 he was under contract with the second division clubs Neftjanik Leninogorsk , Disel Pensa and Krylja Sowetow Moscow . With Krylja Sowetow he rose in the 2005/06 season in the super league, where he also began the 2006/07 season, before he moved to his ex-club Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk shortly before the end of the season.
In the summer of 2008, Petrow was committed by Chimik Voskressensk from the newly founded Continental Hockey League . He left the club shortly before the end of the 2008/09 season and was then under contract with SKA Saint Petersburg . On August 8, 2012, the SKA exchanged him for the 18-year-old defender Alexei Schestopalow from Atlant Mytishchi and was team captain at Atlant in the 2013/14 season. In June 2014, he moved to the newly founded HK Sochi in exchange for financial compensation . For Sochi he completed 22 KHL games before he was handed over to the HK tractor Chelyabinsk in December of the same year . Petrov was active for Traktor until the summer of 2019, after which he returned to Sochi for the 2019/20 season.
