Neftjanik Leninogorsk ( Russian Нефтяник Лениногорск ) was a Russian ice hockey club from Leninogorsk , which spent several seasons in the second Soviet and second Russian league during its existence from 1961 to 2009 .
history
The club was founded in 1961. During the Soviet era, Neftjanik Leninogorsk was one of the best teams from Tatarstan and was able to win the regional championship several times. She also took part in the game operations of the second and third Soviet division. In the 1998/99 season , the team entered the championship of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation , which was held due to disagreements parallel to the second-rate Vysschaya League . After the association's championship was dissolved in the following year after an agreement with the organizers of the Vysschaya League, Neftjanik Leninogorsk became an integral part of the Vysschaya League in which the club competed from 1999 to 2009 . In the summer of 2009 the association was dissolved due to financial problems.
