Ilja Sergejewitsch Solarjow ( Russian Илья Сергеевич Соларёв ; born August 2, 1982 in Perm , Russian SFSR ) is a Kazakh - Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HSC Csíkszereda from the MOL league since October 2016 .
Career
Ilya Solarev began his career as a hockey player in the junior division of Molot-Prikamje Perm , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the 2000/01 season . He had previously been active for the club's second team in the third-rate Pervaya League . He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2001 in the ninth round as a total of 281st player from the Tampa Bay Lightning , for which he however never played. The attacker spent the 2001/02 season at Neftjanik Leninogorsk in the second-rate Wysschaja Liga and Avangard Tambov in the Pervaya League. In the following season he ran for the second team of Molot-Prikamje Perm in the Pervaya League and HK Brest in the Belarusian Extra League .
From 2003 to 2008 Solarjow played consecutively for Motor Barnaul , Energija Kemerovo , the HC Lipetsk , Kasachmys Satpajew and Barys Astana in the Wysschaja League, where he for Satpajew parallel some games in the 2006/07 season in the Kazakh Cup and also graduated cup winner was . Also in 2007/08 he played a few games in the Kazakh league and became their top scorer. For Barys Astana, the international was on the ice for three years in the Continental Hockey League since the 2008/09 season . For the 2011/12 season he joined the HK Ertis Pavlodar from the Kazakh championship, with which he became Kazakh runner-up in 2012. After this success he returned to Astana.
Due to his doping ban (see below) he was suspended by Barys in September 2013 and joined the Danbury Whalers from the Federal Hockey League in December of the same year . This is not subject to the IIHF jurisdiction, as it is not subject to USA Hockey . So the doping ban could not be enforced there. In the summer of 2015 he returned to Kazakhstan and was signed by HK Ertis Pawlodar after his suspension had expired , before he left the club in November 2015 and returned to Barys Astana in the KHL. In addition to his assignments for Barys, he also played for the farm team Nomad Astana in the Kazakh championship. After briefly returning to Molot-Prikamje Perm from August to October 2016, he is now under contract with HSC Csíkszereda in the MOL league .
International
For Kazakhstan , Solarjow took part in the World Championships of Division I in 2008 , 2009 and 2013 as well as the Top Division in 2010 and 2016 . In addition, he was in the squad of his country in the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Winter Games in 2010 in Vancouver and 2014 in Sochi and in the Winter Asian Games 2011 . In the latter, he won the gold medal with his team.
In September 2013 he was banned from the IIHF for two years after testing positive for the asthma drug salbutamol during the 2013 World Cup in Hungary .
