Alexis Rodríguez Hernández (born April 27, 1977 in Miramas ) is a former Spanish cyclist and duathlete .

Career

Cycling from 2001 to 2011

Alexis Rodríguez began his career in 2001 with the Spanish cycling team Kelme-Costa Blanca . In the investigations in the context of the doping raid at the Giro d'Italia 2001 nothing was found.

After three years he switched to Beppi-Ovarense , where he won a stage of the Troféu Joaquim Agostinho . In the same year he won the overall ranking of the Cinturón Ciclista Internacional a Mallorca . At the Burgos Tour in 2006 , he finished fifth in the overall ranking and in 2008 he was second in the overall ranking of the Volta a Albufeira .

In 2011 he declared his active time in cycling over.

Duathlon since 2012

In 2013 he finished seventh and in April 2014 third in the Spanish Duathlon State Championship .
At the ITU Duathlon World Championship in Pontevedra in May 2014, he finished fifth (10 km run, 40 km bike ride and 5 km run).

Doping investigations 2016

In March 2015 he was arrested during a doping investigation. He and Rafael Rodríguez Segarra (* 1981) had been convicted of trafficking in doping substances.
