The alfa Training Education Center GmbH is a Germany-wide acting education company based in Karlsruhe that the professional development and meeting the demand for skilled workers specializing in Germany. Further training in various labor market-relevant specialist areas is offered at over 100 locations . All training courses take place as virtual face-to-face seminars using the specially developed video conference software alfaview .
history
alfatraining was founded in 2005 in Karlsruhe by entrepreneur Niko Fostiropoulos, where the company's headquarters are still located today. After opening the first locations in the following years, the company is now represented at over 100 locations across Germany, from Flensburg to Munich and from Dresden to Aachen. The training company also has a branch in Thessaloniki , Greece (as of April 2020).
Since 2010, the education company has been the world's first education provider to offer all of its courses exclusively using the video conferencing software alfaview in the virtual classroom. Participation in an accessible course from home is possible via the video conference system. The functions of live logging (live transcription) and live translation into many languages allow language barriers to be overcome and the hearing impaired to be supported.

alfatraining conducts training in the field of professional development and offers qualifications for companies. The various qualifications can be promoted in different ways, including: a. through the Federal Employment Agency , a job center , an education voucher or the career advancement service . The course concept consists of around 300 different teaching modules. Individual modules can be combined individually depending on the further training goal and basic qualification, the modules start anew every four weeks. Thanks to the AZAV- certified alfaview video technology , the courses can be completed in the training center or from home.

The courses offered by alfatraining consist of a total of 300 different subject areas with an interdisciplinary focus on qualification for the working world 4.0: CAD mechanical engineering, CAD architecture, PLC / automation technology / electronics, SAP users, SAP consultants, quality management, project management, personnel & management, Programming & software development, digital transformation, network & IT management, data & analysis, web design & web programming, media & design, editing & online marketing, marketing & customer management, commercial courses, operational organization, purchasing / logistics / shipping and languages.
In addition, part-time online courses can be booked via the education platform. alfatraining qualifies in particular in the following subject areas: project management , quality management , work and digitization , accounting , marketing and editing , construction and real estate management , law , SAP and languages.
The courses are approved by DQS in accordance with the Accreditation and Approval Ordinance for Employment Promotion (AZAV) , the management is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015. With 700 employees, the company pursues the goal of imparting professional knowledge in a practice-oriented manner and providing barrier-free educational opportunities. The company is u. a. licensed education partner of SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG ., DATEV and Allplan as well as cooperation partner of Siemens AG and TÜV Rheinland .
alfaview Video Conferencing Systems
The first version of the virtual classroom alfaview was developed as a prototype by the education company alfatraining for the digital implementation of its own advanced training courses. The in-house development of a video conference system was necessary because in 2010 no suitable alternative was able to guarantee stable online training courses with a large number of participants with a standard Internet bandwidth.
With alfaview, companies, universities, educational institutions and public institutions have the opportunity to network audiovisually with customers and cooperation partners according to their specific needs. With commercially available PC technology, online face-to-face training as well as professional business meetings or virtual online training can be carried out with alfaview.
Alfaview is GDPR compliant and was developed in Germany. All data centers are ISO 27001 certified. All servers in the system are located in Germany and the European Union, which means that a very high standard of communication and data security can be guaranteed. The data is encrypted according to current standards (TLS / AES256).
