Alfons servant von Schönberg

Alfons Diener von Schönberg (born August 19, 1879 in Pfaffroda ; † November 16, 1936 there ) was a German family and local history researcher, owner of Pfaffroda Castle with Dörnthal and district hunter master.

He was the son of Franz Diener and Sara Diener, b. von Schönberg , whose brother Carl Alexander von Schönberg (1857–1928) adopted him, so that he became master of Pfaffroda with Dörnthal in the central Ore Mountains .

Schönberg joined the Erzgebirgsverein , of which he became an honorary member in the Olbernhau branch . He was considered a proven expert on Schönberg's history in the 20th century and presented several scientific contributions. He also published the two volumes of Meister Magirus. Strange Stories (1930) and Crooked Shadows (1935). Both volumes are extremely rare. The latter was reprinted in a lover's edition in 2007.
