Alfonsas Gailevičius

Alfonsas Gailevičius (born July 28, 1910 in Riga , Latvia , † February 24, 1998 in Vilnius ) was a Soviet politician, major general , deputy minister .

Life

From 1928 to 1929 he was Secretary of Komsomol in Biržai . From 1929 he was a member of Lietuvos komunistų partija . He was in prison from 1935 to 1940. From 1940 he headed a department of the Security Authority of Soviet Lithuania (LSSR) and then NKVD - NKGB of LSSR. From 1948 to 1953 he was Deputy Minister of the Interior and from 1953 to 1954 he was Deputy Minister of the Interior. From 1955 to 1959 and from 1963 to 1971 he was a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of the LSSR.
