Alfonsas Macaitis
Alfonsas Macaitis (born April 13, 1956 in Viešvilė , Jurbarkas district municipality ) is a Lithuanian politician.
Life
After graduating from high school in 1974 in Vilkyškiai near Pagėgiai , he completed his degree in radio engineering from 1974 to 1979 at the Faculty of Radio Electronics at the Politechnikos institutas in Kaunas . From 1979 to 1981 he worked as an engineer at Šiaulių televizorių gamykla . From 1981 he worked at Komsomol in Šiauliai , from 1982 as an instructor, from 1985 as Central Committee secretary, from 1986 as first secretary. In 1986 he became a deputy in the Supreme Soviet of Soviet Lithuania . From 1995 to 1997 and from 2006 to 2010 he was the head of the Vilnius District , from 2005 to 2006 he was an advisor to Arūnas Kundrotas in the Ministry of Environment of Lithuania . From 2000 to 2004 he was a member of the Seimas .
From 1981 he was a member of the CPSU , from 1990 of the LDDP , from 2001 of the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
