Alfonso Rossetti

Alfonso Rossetti († February 25, 1577 in Ferrara ) was a Roman Catholic prelate, bishop of Comacchio from 1559 to 1563 and bishop of Ferrara from 1559 to 1563 .

biography

On October 22, 1548 Alfonso Rossetti was during the tenure of Pope Paul III. appointed coadjutor of Comacchio His appointment as successor to the diocese took place on December 21, 1559. On October 8, 1563 he was appointed bishop of Ferrara during the tenure of Pope Pius IV . He held the office of Bishop of Ferrara until his death on February 25, 1577.
