Abner of Burgos
Abner von Burgos (as a Christian after his late baptism Alfonso de Valladolid ; * 1270 in Burgos , † 1347 in Valladolid ) was a Christian doctor and philosopher of Jewish origin. He was one of the Marranos .
He doubted free will and took a deterministic view. After disappointments about the failure of contemporary messianic promises and long personal struggles, he developed as an apostate into an anti-Jewish writer and keen zealot against Judaism.
